kyle and i decided to revise our hamster's name to Freddie Dick Mercury Valentine because it's easier calling him Freddie than Dick. haha. we're such nerds.

kyle and i spent the weekend up north at my parents/grandparents' homes. it was a lot of fun. saturday we were at the high school watching football games all day and then we were at my grandparent's house for dinner and cards. we ended up staying the night over there.. then yesterday we went to my parent's house and watched the Lions and i took a nap.

today i have to read and call Old Navy to see what's going on.. Eric was supposed to call me back this weekend, but he hasn't yet.. =/

im just going to copy and paste my blog from myspace.

yessir. kyle, justin, and i went and saw Electric Six on tuesday night. it was fun. although they didnt actually go on until like .. midnight.. but it was worth it. we were like super close to the stage too.. i'll post some pictures that kyle took w/ my camera. they played a lot of stuff from their new cd Senor Smoke and they played some stuff from Fire. they played: Dance Commander, Electric Demons in Love, Naked Pictures [of your mother], Danger! High Voltage, She's White, I Invented the Night, Gay Bar (heck yeah!), and I'm the Bomb .. so basically majority of Fire.

the bands that opened for them were pretty good. one of them was Johnny Headband. they have their own myspace page, you should check them out. they were frickin' great. very danceable stuff and you can't really help but like them because they put so much energy into their shows. awesome.

the other band was okay.. i think they would have been a lot better if not for the old dude front man. the girls in the band were awesome .. the frontman .. not so much. he kept screaming into the microphone but it was really close to his mouth so it was all distorted and loud. he also turned up his guitar WAY too loud. it was ridiculous.

other than the fact that the show lasted until after 1:30 in the morning and we didnt get home until about 3:00 and i had to work at 8:00 and i now feel like shit .. it was a good show and a good time

my last final is at 4:30 today. so less than 2 hours and then i will be freeeee! at leas for the summer. =)

im on the 4th floor of the library right now in this little conference room.. im kind of bored because i studied a lot and now i dont have much to do. im glad i brought my computer w/ me .. what am i going to do for an hour and a half? ugh ...

but yeah, im glad to be done w/ school for the semester. the next almost 4 months w/o school is going to be great! so much in store for this summer. i'll be working... but kyle and i are hoping that in July we'll be getting an apartment together.

which is why .. i am moving out next sunday. im moving back into my parents so i can save up some money for the move in July. im just not making enough money to spend $380/month on rent, especially doing it by myself.. while still needing to pay my phone bill, eat, and have money for gas. i think i will be a lot less stressed out once i move back in w/ my parents.

i hope this summer consists of going out, spending too much money (not way too much.. but enough) and having a really good time w/ my friends and my boyfriend. =)

friday = work 9-6 and then hopefully kyle's coming up
saturday = work 9-5:30 then down to kim's to have lasagna and then hitting up bdubs for trivia and beer
sunday = watching L Word w/ Kimmie-poo!

this weekend is going to be great!

so i was messing around w/ layout things and stuff and ... i totally wiped out what marie had done for me.. so i guess what im asking is: marie, if you get some time, would you re-do my lj layout again, but w/ something different from before? no big hurry or rush, just whenever you get the chance. =)

in other news .. i've stayed home from work the past couple of days because i've been pretty sick. i hate my immune system .. this is the worst time to be sick. i have finals tues-thurs. =/

i think im going back to sleep now ...

i really, really do love this time of year.. warm weather, break out the flip flops, ride in my car w/ the windows down and the music super loud .. however, this time of year also brings on the stuffy/runny nose, dry eyes, and sinuses that are so hard to do anything w/ because they just hurt. oh yes.. it's allergy season, people. and i h8 it. i wake up in the mornings and can barely breathe, my eyes are all puffy, and i feel like shit. this sucks. however, i now have my trusty Allegra-D to help me battle my bastard allergies and hopefully get to enjoy the great weather w/o having to worry about my nose dripping into my mouth.

also, on top of my allergies, my top, left wisdom tooth has decided it's time to come in. unfortunately, i did not get them removed a few years ago when i was supposed to .. so now im in a bit of pain. luckily, my dad had some tylenol w/ codeine when he had his carpal tunnel surgery a couple weeks ago, so i've been taking some of those for the pain. along w/ eating applesauce and pudding. haha.

3 more weeks of school left! yay!

oh yeah..

tomorrow (wednesday the 6th) there is a symposium on campus (SVSU) about politics in the media. it starts at 1:30 and there will be some local media people there. it's open to the public, and it's for free. so if you're interested in going, you should go. it's in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall on the SVSU campus. if you want to go and you don't know how to get there, message me, call me, whatever.

seriously.. i know we're in debt, but is the solution to the problem to cut programs dealing w/ education? can someone please explain the logic behind this?

That's right, this Thursday, we need everybody to scrape by without spending one single penny all day. This is a huge movement around the US to strike a huge blow to corporate America on the day of Bush's inauguration.
Do whatever you might the day before to prepare, but please don't spend a dime on January 20th. Imagine if the worst day for the American economy in decades happened on the same day that Bush spends $40 million to throw himself an inauguration party. It could send a huge message and grab headlines around the entire world. Band together to send the strongest message possible, the message of the almighty dollar!
